Why are a company's social impact and corporate social responsibility important?

We are not used to thinking about what benefits the companies that surround us bring to society. However, today it is one of the highlights of them. Basically, corporate social responsibility involves the impact that companies have on the environment and society. So, you may ask yourself, and how does it impact Great Little People? We do it in many ways, but to simplify it we will divide it into those groups that we directly help: children, schools and teachers. These groups will make it possible to provide children with a quality education. As it pursues goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN:

Familias

In recent years, English has become part of a vital and fundamental experience for all citizens of the world. Families are always looking for that added value to their children's education. With families, we focus on being able to facilitate the acquisition of English for all without equal. Regardless of those who cannot afford it due to location, logistics, knowledge or economy. The digitalization of our methodology through online classes and educational app has been able to provide access to English to families regardless of their location. For us, one of the biggest challenges is to bring English to everyone at an early age. That is why we have defined a line of actions with the objective of reducing existing differences:

• Enjoy more than 100 hours of free content in English for children through our channels.
• Recurrently donate up to 5% of our subscriptions with free scholarships to vulnerable groups.
• Set prices up to 30% cheaper than other alternatives in the market.

Educational centers

Choosing a higher-quality school is the most powerful and affordable factor parents have in raising their children's school performance. We cannot miss the opportunity. Although the 0-3 stage has a very low percentage of schooling, we must ensure that children acquire a second language at an early age. Starting in elementary school with bilingualism means being late. Precisely what we want from Great Little People is to avoid this frustration and subsequent school dropout. That is why we want to be able to provide schools with mechanisms and tools. So that, together with all of the above, they can implement a quality educational project from the beginning of the children's journey. Generating a new revenue stream for them, thus encouraging employment and achieving economic growth for smaller companies.

Teachers

We know that being a teacher is one of the most vocational jobs that exist. But, many times, it may not be given the importance it has, especially in early childhood education. His work is what we will later see reflected in the adults who make up our society. It seems that anyone can “take care” of a baby, but the reality is that this goes much further. That's why, at Great Little People, we want to give them the opportunity to train properly. As professionals in the acquisition of English at an early age, we know that 0 to 6 years is the most important time for this. Therefore, we create WeTeach, a 60-hour online course in which the teacher can learn strategies and obtain materials. With these resources, they will teach English in a very practical way in the children's classroom. Our goal is to achieve full and productive employment — for both women and men — reducing inequality. We achieve this through contracts that involve, both for the worker and the company, work-life balance and indefinite hiring. We are already achieving this in many of the schools where we are. It is a combination of many elements that make Great Little People present in society. Both in the form of impact and in corporate social responsibility. But together they allow even the smallest changes to have an enormous impact on our teachers, families and students, and schools.
