By Great Little People
February 6, 2024

This weekend marks a very special day for families, Mother's Day. Every day is a good time to thank mothers for the love, care and protection they provide us. However, it's always a good excuse to reserve this day in honor of them and make them feel special with a detail. From Great Little People we want to give you ideas for Mother's Day: crafts, poems, songs... so that the little ones can give to mom... in English! since any everyday moment is good for learning and practicing a second language in a fun and natural way.

Crafts in English for Mother's Day

One of the favorite Mother's Day ideas is for kids to make their gifts by hand. A safe bet is always a beautiful phrase in a drawing that shows your artistic skills and your feelings in a creative way towards mom. In addition, we can add ornaments such as stickers, pompoms, glitter... and other decorative objects that will make the drawing and the experience much more entertaining. Also, we can help them a little and make slightly more elaborate crafts. Through these activities, we can have a great time with our children while we review vocabulary such as colors, shapes, tools... In addition, we can also practice phrases such as: Can you borrow me...? , It's beautiful!... Here are some examples of crafts that can serve as inspiration:

1. Flowers in the shape of hands

2. Heart shaped card

3. Photo frame decorated with paper flowers

4. DIY crystal jewelry
