BOOKR KIDS began in 2015 when a lack of digitized books in English for children was detected. With BOOKR KIDS, children will pay attention for a longer period of time to the stories in our reading corner, improve their reading comprehension and make it easier to learn English. This is because the innovative and intuitive app includes fun and interactive stories to maintain interest, with animations and sounds. These elements help to understand the narratives supervised by native personnel, always highlighted in the text for easy visual learning. At the end of each of these narrations there is an educational game with which they review the contents and learn English while playing.
We will create a reading habit with BOOKR CLASS during our classes. This will help children in a very enriching way to understand the world and the differences between people, races, ideas and cultures. When we read aloud, we help younger students to work on their imaginations, create more vocabulary and recognize it in written words. On the other hand, when they already have developed reading skills, their performance in class improves and their self-esteem is enhanced.
New technologies affect children's reading formats, and therefore they have more problems interpreting texts. That is why BOOKR KIDS was created BOOK CLASS, to enter the world of education in 2018 and help, among others, our teachers and students.
Allied with the Common European Framework and the Lexile System (which measures both the child's ability to read and the difficulty of the text), we will have this application active both for tablets and computers, and different operating systems, with more than 1000 digital books, educational games, songs, karaoke, flashcards and activities. With all of the above, we will work, in addition to what has already been said, from spelling and pronunciation, to grammar and to the most everyday expressions.
BOOKR CLASS is divided into 6 levels depending on age, allowing us to combine the use of our physical reading corner stories with other novel and unique ones. We will make an automatic connection between students and teachers, so that we will recognize their interests. Thanks to this, we will make much more personalized recommendations according to your tastes in Great Little People's quarterly reports. In addition, the app itself will have a new version in these months for students, which will allow us to create a much richer user experience. They will have menus at their disposal with suggestions based on the topics chosen as favorites, reading progress in each of the books, detailed statistics or the possibility of collecting rewards in the games as you advance the level.
The growth in its volume of interactive stories allows it to cover topics as extensive as original stories of culture, civilization and everyday life or content of history, science, sports or geography. This variety of content is essential to support the integrated learning of content and foreign languages. It will allow our teachers to optimize the management and evolution of students, showing metrics of their progress. In addition to having access to the database of the available stories with more information about each one, being able to preview them before downloading. Finally, they will be able to print the flashcards or content to carry out activities, and more tips will be introduced for teachers.
The studies carried out define BOOKR CLASS as a platform that will complement Great Little People in teaching English as a second foreign language thanks to its books in English for children. This platform will help children between 1 and 7 years old to enjoy a wide variety of digital stories in English for children. We agree that reading provides greater general knowledge, vocabulary and the ability to reason using letters and numbers. Therefore, it has been demonstrated that, for the acquisition of another language, pedagogical books with visual support promote a natural learning process. It will help, therefore, to our objective: for a new language to be processed faster, gaining unconscious habits in grammar and vocabulary, and greater knowledge or understanding of it.
